Step 1 — The submission form

The first step involves filling in a clear, guided form to provide the information needed for processing.

🎵 Choosing the content type

At the top of the form, the user chooses between two modes:

• 🎵 It’s a known song — Two fields then appear: Artist name and Song title (required). This information allows the system to automatically search for the official lyrics from up to three reference sources (LRCLib, Genius and Spotify).
• 📹 Another type of video — The artist/title fields are hidden. Processing will be based entirely on automatic speech recognition, with the option of manual or AI-assisted correction.

📁 Video upload area

An intuitive drop zone allows the video file to be uploaded in MP4 format, with a maximum size of 1 gigabyte. The user can drag and drop their file directly into the zone or click to open the file browser. The name of the selected file is displayed immediately with a visual confirmation.

📝 Choosing the lyrics method

Two options are available:

🌍 Optional audio language selection

A dropdown list allows the user to specify the language spoken/sung in the video. This field is entirely optional — if left blank, Whisper detects the language automatically. However, if the user fills it in, processing is on average 15 to 30 seconds faster, as automatic language detection is skipped. A full list of world languages is available in a grouped, searchable selection.

✅ Validation and start

Once the form is complete, the “Validate and submit” button triggers the video file upload, accompanied by a real-time progress bar. Setting up the virtual workspace takes on average 80 to 90 seconds. A confirmation e-mail is sent as soon as the process begins.

Step 2 — Audio-video processing

Once the video has been received and the workspace configured on the server, audio processing begins automatically. All stages are displayed in real time on screen via progress messages. The user can stay in front of their screen to follow progress, or close the page and wait for the notification e-mail.

Step 3 — The transcript correction interface

This step only exists if the user has chosen automatic Whisper detection (without providing a .txt file). They are redirected to an interface dedicated to correcting and formatting the raw transcript — a crucial step for guaranteeing final quality.

The interface presents one or two text areas depending on the context:

• Whisper area (always present on the left) — The raw transcript generated automatically by speech recognition, ready to be corrected and formatted.
• Reference lyrics area (present on the right if available) — If the video is a known song and lyrics have been found in at least one of the APIs (LRCLib, Genius, Spotify), a second area appears. Tabs at the top allow switching between the available sources (up to 3 tabs: LRCLib, Genius, Spotify), each offering a slightly different version of the lyrics (line length, segmentation).

🎧 The integrated audio player for verification

An audio player at the top of the page plays the extracted vocal track, allowing the user to listen to the performer and verify line by line that the transcript perfectly matches what is sung. Keyboard shortcuts greatly facilitate this verification:

• ⬅️ Left arrow — Rewind 1 second (held = fast rewind)
• ➡️ Right arrow — Forward 1 second (held = fast forward)
• ⬆️ Up arrow — Return to beginning
• ⬇️ Down arrow — Play / Pause

🤖 Automatic AI correction — 1 credit option

If the user does not wish to correct the transcript manually, automatic correction by our specialist AI model is available. A button clearly indicates which reference source will be used and the cost:

After confirmation in a modal window, the correction is carried out in a matter of seconds. The raw transcript is replaced by the corrected and formatted version, and a detailed report of all changes made by the AI is displayed in an accordion, providing full transparency on what was changed and why (style harmonisation, correction of Whisper phonetic errors, grammatical agreement, etc.).

Step 4 — CTC Alignment

Once the transcript has been validated — whether it comes from a .txt file provided by the user or a corrected Whisper transcript — CTC Alignment can begin.

CTC Alignment (Connectionist Temporal Classification) is an artificial intelligence algorithm that simultaneously analyses the vocal track and the text, and positions every word on the video timeline to the nearest millisecond. This is the process that makes letter-by-letter colour changes possible, perfectly synchronised to the artist’s voice. This technology, originally developed for scientific speech transcription, lies at the heart of what makes our platform unique and outstanding in quality.

Once alignment is complete, the user receives a notification e-mail inviting them to log in and access the final editor — the last step before their karaoke video is generated.

Step 5 — The final editor: total customisation

The final editor is the richest and most powerful interface in the entire generator. This is where the user controls the visual appearance of their subtitles, the audio mix of their video, and can fine-tune the synchronisation of every individual word.

🎵 The multi-track audio console

At the top of the editor, a three-track superimposed audio console provides a visual representation of the sound signature of each track — a waveform-style graph that visually conveys the audio intensity at every moment of the video. This visualisation makes it instantly easy to spot silences, instrumental sections, and the beginnings and ends of sung phrases.

The three available tracks are:

• “Full” track (complete audio) — The original sound of the video, voice and instruments combined, as it was before any processing.
• “Instrumental” track — The musical track alone, the result of merging the four separations carried out during processing.
• “Vocals” track — The performer’s voice alone, cleanly extracted.

🎚️ Audio controls for each track

On the left of each track, control buttons allow the audio mix of the final video to be freely composed:

• Solo button — Plays only this track in isolation. If only one solo is active, the final video will contain only that audio track.
• Mute button — Silently removes the selected track from the final mix.
• Volume slider — Adjusts the audio level of the track in the mix. The result heard during playback in the editor is exactly what will be encoded in the final video.

🔧 The editor control buttons

Above the audio console, a series of action buttons allow control of playback, navigation and synchronisation annotations. A dedicated accordion on the generator page details the precise function of each one.

📍 Annotation blocks — Word-by-word synchronisation

Below the audio console, perfectly aligned under the vocal track, appear the annotation blocks: one block per spoken word. Each block visually represents the duration of the word on the timeline — its width is proportional to the pronunciation duration.

Although CTC Alignment positions each word with great precision, it can happen that certain stressed words — where the performer holds a final syllable for a long time — are cut too short in the annotation. It is therefore strongly advisable to review the entire word flow from beginning to end, comparing each block with the sound signature visible just above. Adjusting a block is simply a matter of stretching its left or right edge to align it precisely with the actual sound signature.

🎨 Subtitle visual customisation options

This is where the full creative richness of our generator lies. A complete settings form — the most elaborate ever offered for karaoke video — allows the exact appearance of the subtitles to be defined. Here is the full set of available parameters:

Previews and final video generation

Before generating the complete video, the user can test their settings by generating previews — short extracts of 15 to 45 seconds maximum. A positioning button allows them to choose whether the preview will be taken from the beginning of the video or centred at a specific point.

At the end of a preview generation, the video is displayed immediately on screen. The user watches it and evaluates the result in every detail. If they are satisfied, they click on the “Generate the complete video” button to launch the production of the full version — which will then be available for immediate download.

E-mail notifications at every key step

The user never has to stay in front of their screen waiting. At every key stage of the process, an automatic notification e-mail is sent with a direct link to the interface where their action is needed:
